Brock community invited to celebrate graduate student research

The Brock community is invited to two Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (FGSPA) events showcasing outstanding graduate student research.

Taking place Thursday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at Pond Inlet, the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition gives graduate students just one slide and three minutes to explain their research in a way that captivates judges and the event’s audience. Judges will select the three best presentations out of 13 students participants, with the crowd given the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner.

No event registration is required for the drop-in event. More details can be found on the 3MT event page.

Held throughout the day Wednesday, April 10, the Mapping New Knowledges (MNK) Research Conference supports the innovative research being done at Brock and allows graduate students to enhance essential conference skills, such as presenting and networking. The day includes oral presentations and a poster exhibition.

This year’s event will take place in the Goodman School of Business Atrium and the Plaza building.

Attendee registration is required through MNK web page for a complimentary lunch. Participating graduate students can attend a workshop to elevate their skills at academic conferences at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26. Registration details are available on ExperienceBU.
