Gear up for gardening at upcoming seed swap

Members of the Brock community are invited to cultivate their spring gardening plans by attending the Department of Geography and Tourism Studies’ third annual seed and plant exchange at the end of the month.

The Brock Seed Library will also be in attendance at the event, which takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in MCC 308. All members of the Brock community are invited to stop in to share and collect seeds, cuttings, plants and bulbs for indoor and outdoor gardens.

Perennials, annuals, houseplants and new or lightly used gardening equipment are also welcome. No invasive species or cannabis plants are permitted.

Anyone with items to share can bring labelled containers and seed envelopes to the event or drop them off in advance in MCC 324 on Friday, Feb. 23 or Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants should also remember to bring a reusable bag or container to take home their new seeds and plants.

Everyone who attends can enter a draw for a gift card from Niagara College Greenhouse.
