Thesis defences — Jan. 22 to Jan. 26

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Jan. 22 and Friday, Jan. 26.

PhD in Biotechnology thesis defence

Alison Edge, a PhD in Biotechnology candidate, will defend the thesis “Transcriptome assembly reveals putative genes involved in Monoterpenoid Indole Alkaloid biosynthesis in Ochrosia elliptica” on Monday, Jan. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Arts ​in Applied Disability Studies thesis defence

Taylor Manuge, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “A Comparison of Methods for Teaching Discrimination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training Processes in Samples of Verbal Behaviour” on Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Sustainability thesis defence

Madison Lepp, a Master of Sustainability candidate, will defend the thesis “Advancing Resilience and Equity in Canadian Municipal Climate Adaptation” on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon in virtual format.

Master of Arts in Geography thesis defence    

Jared Balla, a Master of Arts in Geography candidate, will defend the thesis ““Don’t Immanentize the Eschaton” and the North American City — Competing Discourses over Social Planning in the Journal of the American Planning Association, 1936–2000” on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. in WH 147.
