Goodman researcher to discuss effective OEM positioning

Lianxi Zhou, Professor of Marketing and International Business at Brock’s Goodman School of Business, will discuss effective Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) positioning at the next Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series, Friday, Jan. 26.

The presentation will explore how globally ambitious, low-reputation OEM suppliers can strategically build relationships with global technology giants by fostering a dynamic and adaptive market positioning.

Zhou has published extensively in leading refereed business journals, such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business VenturingJournal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Industrial Marketing Management, International Business Review, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of World Business and Journal of Business Research.

Having also served as an active member of the editorial board for multiple journals, Zhou’s achievements have been acknowledged through various awards over the course of his career, including as the recipient of Goodman’s Distinguished Scholar of the Year award and the Silver Medal for scholars. Zhou’s commitment to research over the past 20 years has also led to his recognition on Stanford University’s list of the world’s top two per cent of scientists with the most citations.

The Luncheon Speaker Series provides Goodman faculty, staff and students with an informal opportunity to discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with business colleagues. The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Sankey Chamber.
