Sign-in needed to enter Brock during holidays

The holiday closure will mean all buildings and exterior doors at Brock University’s main campus will be secured at 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22 and reopen the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Throughout that time, members of the Brock community may still enter the University via the Rankin Family Pavilion (RFP) entrance, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and staffed by an on-duty security guard.

All staff, faculty, students and visitors wishing to use the Walker Sports Complex during the closure must sign in and out via the RFP.

Anyone needing to enter the University’s Burlington and Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts (MIWSFPA) locations at any point, or the main campus outside of the times listed above, is asked to contact Campus Safety Services at 905-688-5550 x4300 for an officer to provide assistance. Brock ID will need to be shown to the attending officer to gain access to the building.

Proxy card/swipe access will remain unaffected for those who have it for buildings with proxy card access, including the MIWSFPA. Faculty members and staff requiring proxy card access will need to arrange for it through their department and Facilities Management.

During the holiday closure, all Brock students can continue to receive urgent/crisis 24-7 counselling through the Telus Health Student Support app, which offers text and chat support and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play, or by calling 1-833-276-2533 (1-833-BROCK33) within North America and 001 416 382 3257 outside of North America for 24-7 telephone support.
