Save the date: President Rigg to deliver State of the University address Nov. 16

EDITOR’S NOTE: The State of the University address has been postponed until next term.

On Thursday, Nov. 16, President Lesley Rigg will share her vision for Brock’s future and celebrate the University’s many recent successes at Brock’s first State of the University address.

President Rigg will discuss how the University has made advancements in areas of strategic priority, give an update on the University’s financial health and look ahead to plans for the coming year.

The community will have the opportunity to ask questions of both President Rigg and the University’s executive leadership team.

“It’s incredibly important that we take the time to come together as a campus community and celebrate our many successes and discuss how to navigate any upcoming challenges,” says Rigg. “We all have a role to play in planning for the future and ensuring Brock’s continued success.”

Rigg will give updates on a wide range of projects and initiatives, including the status of the Yousef Haj-Ahmad Department of Engineering, the recent opening of the Brock-Niagara Validation, Prototyping and Manufacturing Institute, the re-location of the Hamilton campus to Burlington, advancements in supporting equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonization on campus, and more.

Event location and further details will be confirmed in the coming weeks. The event will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
