The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Sept. 18 and Friday, Sept. 22.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

James Mesich, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences, will defend the thesis “Characteristics of dominance: behaviours and hormones in a facultatively social bee species (Xylocopa virginica)” on Monday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. in CRN 207.

Master of Science in Management (Operations and Information Systems Stream) thesis defence

Jobandeep Singh Sethi, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend the thesis “Improving Patient Flow and Operational Efficiency in Emergency Rooms using a Discrete Event Simulation Approach” on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 8:30 a.m. in virtual format.

Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies thesis defence          

Kaitlyn Michener, a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “The Perceived Experiences of Volunteering: A Qualitative Study of Intergenerational Volunteerism in the Snow Buddies Program and Similar Volunteer Initiatives in Niagara” on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon in virtual format.

Master of Arts ​in Applied Disability Studies thesis defence

Amanda Bailey, a Master of ​Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Perception of Universal Design for Learning in Online Higher Education” on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Arts in Applied Health Sciences (Nursing) thesis defence

Tara Lundy, a Master of Arts in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Community-Based Workers’ Health and Wellness: Supporting Women Survivors of Partner Violence” on Friday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon in WC 204.
