The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Tuesday, Aug. 8 and Friday, Aug. 11.

Master of Science in Earth Sciences thesis defence

Thomas Henley, a Master of Science in Earth Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “In Situ Investigation of the Martian Surface: Quantification of Dust Coverages in Gale crater and Abrasion Marks in Jezero crater” on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. in PLZ 409.

Master of ​ Science in Applied Health Sciences (Kinesiology) thesis defence

Tyler Dobos, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Investigating Drill Constraint Kinematics in Male Baseball Pitchers” on Tuesday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in WC 204.

Master of Arts in Applied Health Sciences (Community Health) thesis defence

Taylor Baillie, a Master of ​Arts in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Failure to Engage: Exploring Treatment Initiation Delays for Combat-Related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder among the Canadian Armed Forces” on Tuesday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in STH 361 (hybrid).

Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences (Health Sciences) thesis defence

Roopan Dhaliwal, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Examining the effects of BDNF and Exercise-training on Adipose Tissue Browning” on Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. in WC 204.

Master of Science in Physics thesis defence

Connor M. Wilson, a Master of Science in Physics candidate, will defend the thesis “Localized Vibrational Modes in High-Entropy Oxides” on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 9:30 a.m. in TH 259.

Master of Science in Management (Marketing Stream) thesis defences

Mourin Mostafiz, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend the thesis “Responding to organizational crisis: The role of crisis communication message framing and communication information processing to protect organizational credibility” on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.
