Info session to highlight Thailand study opportunity

The Department of Geography and Tourism Studies invites students interested in studying abroad next year to attend an online information session on the 2024 Thailand Term Abroad on Tuesday, May 30 at noon.

All Brock students are welcome to learn more about the opportunity, which includes a full academic term in Thailand running from January to May 2024 with multiple field excursions to various regions of the country.

A new addition to the program this year is an optional one-week mid-term study tour in Singapore.

Students accepted to the program will study at Burapha University International College (BUIC) and earn two and a half Brock credits in courses taught in English by Associate Professor David Brown of Brock as well as instructors from BUIC.

The program is designed for students in their third year but can be completed in other years of study. It is also eligible for OSAP and Global Skills Opportunity funding.

While the opportunity may be of particular interest to majors and minors in Tourism, Geography and Interactive Arts and Sciences, all are welcome to learn more at next week’s session. Interested students are asked to register on ExperienceBU to attend the information session.

Applications to participate in the Winter 2024 Thailand Term Abroad are due on July 15.
