Thesis defences — Feb. 6 to Feb. 10

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place from Monday, Feb. 6 to Friday, Feb. 10.

PhD in Psychology thesis defence

Brent Pitchford, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “The influence of reward associations in the facilitation and impairment of attention and conflict processing” on Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee members are Brian Roy, Chair; Karen Arnell, Supervisor; Ruth Krebs, External Examiner (Ghent University); Jae Patterson, Internal Examiner; and Karen Campbell and Stephen Emrich, Advisory Committee.

PhD in Applied Health Sciences thesis defence

Phil Wallace, a PhD in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “The Effects of Heat and Cold on Cognitive Function and Endurance Capacity” on Friday, Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon in MCD 350L.

The examination committee members are Brian Roy, Chair; Stephen Cheung, Supervisor; Martin Barwood, External Examiner (Leeds Trinity University); Karen Arnell, Internal Examiner; and Joffre Mercier, Michael Taber and Dominique Gagnon, Advisory Committee.
