Faculty feedback sought on research services

The Office of the Vice-President, Research is seeking feedback from the Brock research community on programs and services offered by the various units comprising the Research Enterprise.

The office has e-mailed a survey to faculty asking a series of questions on their use and perceptions of research support initiatives and any suggestions they may have.

“At the core of Brock’s research growth is our ability to facilitate success for scholars,” says Vice-President, Research Tim Kenyon.

“The research community helps us achieve this goal by offering input on our initiatives, and how we communicate them,” he says.

Faculty are asked to submit the survey by end-of-day Tuesday, Jan. 31. For questions, contact orsadmin@brocku.ca

Acting Director of the Office of Research Services, Agata D’Innocenzo, says the survey is the latest in a series of efforts to reach out to Brock’s research community.

“We are looking for ways to ease administrative and logistical burdens so that our researchers can focus their energies on their innovative, impactful work,” she says.

The Research Enterprise consists of the Office of the Vice-President, Research, the Office of Research Services, the Office of Research Ethics, Brock LINC and Animal Care Services.

The Research Enterprise assists researchers in all stages, from pre-award sourcing and applying for funding to post-award administration. Staff provide expertise on a wide variety of topics including commercialization, budgeting, meeting government requirements, safety in the lab, and getting research out into the public domain, among many others.
