Funding available for student summer jobs at Brock

It may be chilly outside, but now’s the time to plan for summer student employment.

Brock University students will once again have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience on campus through the Canada Summer Jobs program in 2023.

Departments interested in hiring students for summer positions are encouraged to apply for the Government of Canada wage subsidy through an internal process at Brock.

To ensure all Brock applications receive the best consideration for funding, Brock’s Office of Government and Community Relations will review each application against criteria set out by the program.

All applications will be compiled and sent to Canada Summer Jobs in a single submission. Any applications for on-campus jobs that are not included in this central application will not be considered for funding.

Jobs eligible for the program include those that provide meaningful employment and contribute to a student’s career path while also providing exposure to the mission of the University by aligning with its strategic direction.

Interested departments are asked to contact Zach Dadson at zdadson@brocku.ca as soon as possible. Completed applications are required in full by Tuesday, Dec. 20.
