Conservation authority CAO to talk leading with purpose at WIL event

Chandra Sharma, a local leader in the environmental sector, will share insight into what happens when purpose drives leadership during an upcoming online event.

The Chief Administrative Officer/Secretary-Treasurer of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) will present at next week’s Women in Leadership (WIL) meeting, discussing the unique attributes of leadership and culture in purpose-driven organizations, such as Ontario conservation authorities.

Sharma has worked with the NCPA since 2020. Her prior experience in public sector management includes such portfolios as governance, strategic planning, climate change, watershed management and community and government relations.

Sharma brings a wealth of knowledge through both her experience and education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Geography, a master’s in Environmental Studies and Planning from York University and a Public Management Certificate from the Schulich School of Business. She is also a professional planner and recipient of a Planning Excellence Award from the Canadian Institute of Planners.
