Brock Dining Services is looking to satisfy the culinary cravings on campus as it marks the official full launch of the University’s partnership with Aramark this month.
After completing negotiations in spring 2020, Aramark was announced as the new, official dining partner on campus. The partnership took hold just as the COVID-19 pandemic was declared, which delayed the official kickoff to the full dining experience on campus.
The Brock Dining Services team is looking forward to welcoming staff, students and faculty to explore all the options available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“From full residence dining halls to customers ordering their favourite Starbucks beverage, this is what we have been preparing for,” said Malcolm Dales, Director, Dining and Conferences.
An early highlight this September has been the official launch of Market Eatery, the newly revamped food court concept in Market Hall. It features seven new culinary brands, led by a team of Aramark Red Seal Chefs, as well as grab-and-go staples. New lighting and signage were among the renovations completed in time for Market Eatery’s launch, which brings a new look and feel to the dining experience.
“The goal was to brighten the space and create a food experience different from what is offered at the other retail locations on campus,” said Dales.
Market Eatery includes El Torito, Italian Cucina, Craveworthy Bakery, Healthy Kitchen, Chop N Top, Red Kettle Soup and Grille Works. Cash, debit, credit and Brock dining dollars are accepted as forms of payment.
Market Eatery joins Brock’s retail lineup of Starbucks in Market Hall, the new self-serve Yogen-Fruz in Thistle Hallway, Tim Hortons in Schmon Tower, and Pita Pit, Pizza Pizza and a full-service Tim Hortons at the Hungry Badger
Customers looking to skip the line can order online through the Tim Hortons mobile app as well as the Hey Chef app, which can be used at Starbucks, Pita Pit, Pizza Pizza and select locations in Market Eatery. Anyone who registers with the new Hey Chef app will receive $3 off their first order until Monday, Oct. 31. To sign up, download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play and use a Brock email and password. Enter the access code BROCK to see available dining locations and menu items. Accepted forms of payment include credit, debit, Apple Pay, Brock dining dollars and Brock Card.
“We look forward to a great year, as we continue to work with our partners at Aramark and connect with customers to identify new opportunities,” said Dales.
