Several Brock roads to close Friday, Saturday for Canada Games cycling event

The main roadway into Brock University will be temporarily closed Friday, Aug. 19 and Saturday, Aug. 20 for the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games Criterium cycling competition.

Isaac Brock Boulevard North and South, Isaac Brock Circle, and Isaac Brock Boulevard East and West in front of Schmon Tower will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 and Saturday, Aug. 20 from 12:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Campus will remain accessible via the Glenridge Avenue entrance. Buses will be rerouted to stop outside of campus on Glenridge Avenue beginning Thursday, Aug. 18 at 4:30 p.m. until Sunday, Aug. 21 at 8 a.m.

During the Friday and Saturday closures, a total of eight parking lots will not be accessible: Zone 3, Lot D, Lot B1, Lot B2, Lot P, Lot Q, Lot R and Lot F.

The Zone 1 parking lot must be accessed via the Glenridge Avenue entrance at the Suzanne Rochon-Burnett Circle. The Zone 2 parking lot and Canada Games Park will remain accessible via the Merrittville Highway entrance.

Drivers are asked to remain diligent near John Macdonell Street just outside of the Glenridge Parking Lot where Canada Games team buses will be picking up and dropping off athletes for training and competition.
