Brock confirms October dates for legacy Convocation ceremonies

Brock University will hold special October Convocation ceremonies for students who graduated during the pandemic but did not have an opportunity to participate in an on-campus celebration.

The University will welcome graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021 during Convocation ceremonies being scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12 and Thursday, Oct. 13. More information regarding specific times and how to register will be released to these alumni in the coming weeks.

“The students who graduated during the pandemic were not able to celebrate their significant accomplishments on campus with their family and friends,” says Brock Interim President Lynn Wells. “With these fall ceremonies, the University is honouring its commitment to welcome students back to campus to enjoy Convocation and to cross the stage as proud Brock graduates.”

Members of the classes of 2020 and 2021 will receive an invitation to the event and will be asked to confirm their interest in attending.

Among other amenities, the Convocation ceremonies will include the return of Alumni Alley, an interactive celebration space where graduates and their guests will be able to take photos and enjoy refreshments and each other’s company.

Graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021 can confirm their interest in attending a legacy Convocation ceremony on the Alumni website.
