Brock University students and graduates will soon have 24-7 access to their official transcript thanks to a new digital platform.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 7, Brock transcripts will be issued through MyCreds, powered by Digitary. These digital credentials can be shared securely with post-secondary institutions, employers or other third parties. The documents, which can only be issued at the student’s request, are tamper-evident and cryptographically signed, making them authentic and official.
“This new system with MyCreds simplifies and adds a new level of security and convenience to the transcription request process,” said Brock University Registrar Geraldine Jones. “Brock is known for its excellent student experience, and offering a transcript solution for current and past students like this certainly helps support that.”
The MyCreds platform offers:
- Improved experience accessing and sharing documents.
- Ability to provide access to verifiable credentials and transcripts for employers, recruiters and others.
- Anytime, anywhere access to secure, tamper-evident shareability.
MyCreds is owned by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), which Brock University is a member of.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brock University to the MyCreds National Network,” said Andrew Wilson, Co-Lead Interim Executive Director, Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT). “MyCreds will be fundamental in supporting Brock’s learner community by making digital credentials easily accessible through a trusted and secure platform. At ONCAT, we are working together with our post-secondary partners and ARUCC to expand this platform to learners across Ontario.”
Current and former students can request a MyCreds digital transcript through the my.brocku.ca portal. To learn more, visit the Brock Office of the Registrar web page.
