As Brock University continues to operate in Brock 3 (Protect and Prevent) of its reopening framework, some units will experience additional closures and varying hours for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend from Saturday, Oct. 9 to Monday, Oct. 11, as well as for the remainder of Reading Week, from Tuesday, Oct. 12 to Friday, Oct. 15.
Campus Security
Officers are available 24-7 by phoning 905-688-5550 x3200, via emergency phones on campus, by emailing security@brocku.ca or through the Brock Mobile App.
Access to campus
As part of Brock’s COVID-19 vaccine policy, full vaccination is required for all individuals involved in any in-person activities on campus. This includes all faculty, staff and students, as well as all visitors and guests coming onto any Brock campus or site.
In addition to showing proof of vaccination, visitors will be required to complete the Brock Safety screening tool and show confirmation at the screening desk.

Administrative offices
Brock University’s administrative offices will be closed from Saturday, Oct. 9 to Monday, Oct. 11, and will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 8:30 a.m.
Brock Library
Brock’s James A. Gibson Library will be closed Monday, Oct. 11 and open from Tuesday Oct. 12 to Friday, Oct. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dining services
The two residence dining hall locations (Decew and Lowenberger dining halls) will be closed Saturday, Oct. 9 until Friday, Oct. 15. They will reopen Saturday, Oct. 16 for regular hours of operation.
Students who normally use those dining halls are invited to dine at the Guernsey Market (in Market Hall), which will be open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily and operating similarly to the residence dining halls.
Please note: When arriving at Guernsey Market, students will be asked to show their seven- or five-day sticker. Anyone who is missing their sticker or has an incorrect sticker is asked to visit the Brock Card office in the Thistle corridor this week.
Students’ five- or seven-day all-access plans will give access to Guernsey Market during this time. Specialty stations and menu options similar to the residence dining halls will be set up during this time.
Tim Hortons in the Schmon Tower will be open Tuesday, Oct. 12 until Friday, Oct. 15 from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Hungry Badger will be closed as of Friday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. and will reopen Monday, Oct. 18.
Starbucks will be closed as of Friday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. and reopen Saturday, Oct. 16.
Both Isaac’s Bar and Grill and the Union Station food court will be closed as of Friday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. and will reopen Monday, Oct. 18.
The General Brock convenience store will be closed as of Friday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. and will reopen Monday, Oct. 18.
Recreation and Athletic Facilities
The Walker Sports Complex and Zone Fitness Centre will be available Saturday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. The complex will be closed on Monday, Oct. 11 for the Thanksgiving holiday and will be open Tuesday, Oct. 12 to Friday, Oct. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16 from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 17 from noon to 8 p.m.
Brock students can reserve a workout time through the online booking system. Drop-in recreation is not available at this time; pre-registration is necessary to use the activity space. Capacity limits and other restrictions are in place.
Campus Store
The Campus Store will be closed Saturday, Oct. 9 to Monday, Oct. 11, and will be open Tuesday, Oct. 12 to Thursday, Oct. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The store will also be closed Friday, Oct. 15 to conduct an inventory count.
The online store continues to be open 24-7, with free shipping on most domestic online orders more than $50. Textbooks are available for purchase online only with in-store pickup or one- to three-day courier shipping options.
Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre
All areas of Brock’s Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre (Student Health Services, Personal Counselling Services and Student Accessibility Services) will be closed Monday, Oct. 11 and open Tuesday, Oct. 12 to Friday, Oct. 15 for regular hours of operation, except Urgent Care drop in at the Drug Smart Pharmacy in Heritage Plaza. Students can receive urgent/crisis 24-7 telephone counselling by calling 1-833-276-2533 (1-833-BROCK33) or students who are outside of North America can call 001 416 382 3257 for 24-7 telephone support every day of the year.
Students in need of mental health supports can also access counselling and resources no matter the time of day through the My SSP mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
