What’s open and closed for Canada Day long weekend

While Brock University will move into Stage 2 (Intermediate) of its own Reopening/Recovery framework as of 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, some units will experience additional closures and varying hours for the Canada Day long weekend from Thursday, July 1 to Sunday, July 4.

Campus Security
Officers are available 24-7 by phoning 905-688-5550 x3200 via emergency phones on campus, by emailing security@brocku.ca or through the Brock Mobile App.    

Access to campus
Screening access to enter any indoor section of Brock’s main campus can be completed at the main entrance to the Rankin Family Pavilion from Thursday, July 1 to Sunday, July 4 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Administrative offices
Brock University’s administrative offices will be closed from Thursday, July 1 to Sunday, July 4, and will reopen Monday, July 5 at 8:30 a.m.

James A. Gibson Library
The Library and its bookable study spaces will remain temporarily closed, with individual bookable group study rooms in James A. Gibson Library reopening on Monday, July 5 with capacity limits in place.

The Library’s virtual Ask Chat service will be unavailable from Thursday, July 1 to Sunday, July 4.

Research
On-campus research facilities will be closed from Thursday, July 1 to Sunday, July 4 except in extenuating circumstances and with prior authorization through the Associate Dean Research.

Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute
CCOVI’s Analytical Services Lab and Grapevine Virus Testing Services will be closed from Thursday, July 1 to Sunday, July 4, and will reopen Monday, July 5. Visit brocku.ca/ccovi for more details.
