Brock approved to welcome international students for Winter 2021

International students looking to attend Brock University for the Winter 2021 semester received some welcome news.

Brock is among a number of Canadian universities whose COVID-19 readiness plans have been approved by the Government of Canada, and thus have qualified as Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs).

The approval means that Brock students who meet the requirements outlined by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be able to travel to Canada for Winter 2021 studies.

This change to travel restrictions affects all international students, regardless of where they are travelling from or when their study permit was approved. Travellers should not make any travel plans until they have met all requirements and received all necessary authorizations.

Brock International, will provide guidance to students about IRCC regulations, and assist with travel and arrival preparation including offering quarantine options.

More information can be found on Brock University’s international travel requirements website.

Last month, Brock announced it will continue with primarily online classes for the full 2020-21 academic year, extending the current academic model through the Winter Term that runs from January to April.  Most courses will continue to be delivered primarily online, though a limited number of courses for which no online alternative exists will be offered on campus.
