Thesis defences — June 22 to 26

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place virtually from Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26.

PhD in Education thesis defence 

Linda Ismailos, a PhD candidate in the Department of Educational Studies, will defend her thesis titled Perceptions of Change in Self-Efficacy to Pursue Postsecondary Education for Students with Exceptionalities Participating in a Postsecondary Transition Program on Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee members are Tiffany Gallagher, Supervisor; Sheila Bennett and Geri Salinitri (University of Windsor), Advisory Committee;  Raymond Leblanc, External Examiner (University of Ottawa); Donato Tarulli, Internal Examiner and Wendy Ward, Chair.

Master of Science thesis defence

Anne R. Yagi, a master of Science candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences, will defend her thesis titled “Flood Survival Strategies of Overwintering Snakes” on Tuesday, June 23 at 1 p. m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Cheryl McCormick, Chair; Glenn Tattersall, Supervisor; Bruce A. Kingsbury, External Examiner (Purdue University); and Fiona Hunter and Liette Vasseur, Committee Members.

Master of Science thesis defence

Steven Angelone, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences, will defend his thesis titled “Sleepers and Creepers, Colony Polymorphisms in Metarhizium robertsii” on Wednesday, June 24 at 11 a.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Cheryl McCormick, Chair; Michael Bidochka, Supervisor; Myron L. Smith, External Examiner (Carleton University); and Glenn Tattersall and Alan Castle, Committee Members.
