All Brock passwords must be reset

In an important note to the Brock community, the University’s ITS staff has been dealing with a large insurgence of cyber attacks called “Brute Force” over the past two weeks.

To deal with this threat, the entire Brock community needs to be part of the response.

All Brock user passwords must be reset by Tuesday Nov. 26, based on the new password process that was launched earlier this month.

Cyber attacks are often able to compromise accounts that have weak passwords, which is why Brock’s protocol was changed to increase passwords to be more complex and a minimum of 10 characters.

While the reset deadline is next Tuesday, all Brock users are asked to update their passwords immediately.

Please Note: Users who have reset their password since Nov. 13 are not required to reset again.
