Goodman Distinguished Graduate Award recipient to share insight

Rita Middleton (BAdmin ’87) is a leader in Canada’s renewable energy sector. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, she’s returning to Brock University to share her experiences with future generations.

Middleton will be honoured as the recipient of the 2019 Goodman School of Business Distinguished Graduate Award at the October reception. The honour was first announced at Brock’s Homecoming celebration on Sept. 21.

As CEO of International Solar Solutions, a privately held Canadian company that designs and manufactures cost-effective, energy-saving solutions that focus on the environment, Middleton is currently leading a team to gain profile and deployment of its primary product, the iSOLAR ATTIC FAN, throughout North America.

In addition to being the CEO, Middleton is also the Interim CFO and board member of International Solar Solutions. Her experience spreads across a multitude of fields, having made the switch to the renewable energy sector after spending 20 years in the communications and broadcasting industry.

Goodman Dean Andrew Gaudes invites the Brock community to attend the reception and hear Middleton’s insights and experiences first-hand.

“We’re very proud to have Rita as a representative of our School,” said Gaudes. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the Brock community to hear from a grad that is excelling in her field.”

The reception runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Goodman School of Business Atrium.

Anyone interested in attending the event can RSVP to Kajsa Cirocco, Alumni Coordinator, at kcirocco@brocku.ca
