Foam Fest means parking changes on campus

As nearly 4,000 runners converge on Brock’s main campus to take part in the 5K Foam Fest run Saturday, Aug. 24, changes to normal parking and bus routes will be in effect.

With run participants entering from Sir Isaac Brock Way, parking in Zone 1, registering in Weather Station Field and then heading behind Zone 2 for their soapy jog, all other visitors are encouraged to enter the University from the smaller roundabout on Glenridge Avenue before parking in Lot P next to Alumni Field.

Rather than enter campus as they normally would, buses will instead stop at the Glenridge Avenue and Sir Isaac Brock Way entrances to let riders on and off.

Students, staff and faculty may continue to park in all lots aside from Zone 1, though some delays can be expected in Zone 2, Lot D and Lot B as runners pass by.

The five-kilometre run, which supports Make-A-Wish Canada, will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to participants who are eight years of age and older. Runners will take on an array of inflatable, foam-filled obstacles in timed heats throughout the day.

Any questions about the changes to parking and bus routes can be sent to Conference and Event Services at x3369 or confdesk@brocku.ca
