It’s a partnership based on positively impacting lives.
Brock University and Community Care, St. Catharines and Thorold will discuss an expanded collaboration and sign a Memorandum of Understanding during an announcement set for Tuesday, May 28.
Community Care has been serving the area for 100 years and now helps approximately 2,000 households in St. Catharines and Thorold each month access food security. It also provides housing and utilities assistance, back-to-school support, ID replacement services, youth sports opportunities and many other supports.
Tuesday’s MOU signing, to be held at Community Care’s location on North Street in St. Catharines, will formalize the existing collaboration between the organization and Brock University, which includes initiatives such as the annual 5 Days for the Homeless Campaign hosted by students of Brock’s Goodman School of Business each year.
The MOU will also establish a framework for further partnerships between Brock and Community Care, such as the potential for research support and expanded experiential education and volunteer opportunities for students.
