Talk to focus on using corporate social responsibility to cater to investors

A firm’s use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives could be beneficial for more than just the good of society, says a leading American scholar.

In this week’s Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series, An Yan, Associate Dean of Research and Faculty Development at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, will share his research examining how investing in CSR can attract investors, investment flow and a higher stock return.

He will present the findings of his co-authored paper “Catering incentive in corporate social responsibility investment.”

The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Goodman School of Business Room 205. Goodman faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to attend.

The speaker series provides an informal opportunity to listen to and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with international business colleagues.

Brock community members interested in attending the talk can email Jennifer Brisson at jbrisson@brocku.ca to reserve a seat.
