In addition to honouring staff service award winners and employees with long-standing service, the President’s Holiday Celebration is an annual event recognizing all Brock faculty and staff for their dedication throughout the year. Brock faculty and staff are invited to attend the annual President’s Holiday Celebration on Monday, Dec. 10 in Market Hall.
Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served at 2 p.m. followed by remarks from President Gervan Fearon and the presentation of staff service awards at 2:30 p.m. RSVP is not required.
Recipients of the President’s Distinguished Staff Service Award for Outstanding Contributions and the Human Resources Distinguished Staff Service Award for Leadership will receive a certificate of recognition and a $500 cash reward. Both awards are available to ongoing staff members with at least 12 months of service. Nominations were due at the end of October. Employees who have reached 25- and 35-year service milestones will also be honoured.
The venue for this year’s event was changed from Pond Inlet to Market Hall to accommodate growing attendance. Last year’s holiday celebration drew a record number of nearly 350 people.
