Brock International’s Global Scholars Office offers new funding opportunities

Internationalization plays a vital role in Brock’s community.

In order to cultivate a campus culture that embodies both global diversity and interconnectivity, Brock International continues to expand its Global Scholars Office (GSO).

The GSO welcomes scholars from academic institutions in other nations to visit Brock to collaborate with our scholars on academic interests, research activities, or teach in their area of expertise. The Office also provides Brock faculty and students with opportunities around the world to support the growing internationalization of Brock’s community.

Below are new opportunities available to university faculty and students:

Academics Without Borders (AWB)

AWB’s University Network enables member universities, such as Brock, to connect with institutions of higher education in some of the least developed countries in the world.

One of the benefits of Brock belonging to their network is that our faculty, staff, and administrators can submit proposals to AWB for projects that fall under their mission.

The next call for proposals with full submission details will be sent out on Thursday, Feb. 15, with a first-stage submission deadline of Friday, March 30.

To see examples of previous AWB projects, please visit their page here.

CONAHEC

The newest partnership established by the Global Scholars Office is with the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC).

A not-for-profit membership-based network, CONAHEC has approximately 180 institutional members of higher education in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, as well as a select group of institutions from other parts of the world.

CONAHEC seeks to advance the consolidation of the North American higher education community and its relationship with international partners by promoting collaboration and cooperation among its members.
