Business leaders continue to support student success at Brock University

A generous donation from the Niagara CPA Ontario Association will allow Brock University to launch a new scholarship for students in the Goodman School of Business.

The Niagara CPA Ontario Association Scholarship was announced at Brock on Tuesday, May 9. The scholarship will be given to a current Master of Accountancy student who demonstrates outstanding academic merit during the 2018-19 academic year.

A $35,000 donation established the scholarship and will be matched with the Ontario Graduate Fellowship Program for a total of $70,000.

“We’re thrilled to be able to contribute to the success of students in the accounting programs at Brock University,” said Maria Collini, Niagara CPA Ontario Association President. “CPA Ontario and the Niagara Association are strong supporters of Brock. Each year, we look forward to welcoming new professional accountants who have graduated from Brock programs.”

“We are grateful for the generosity of the Niagara CPA Ontario Association and for the ongoing support they continue to provide our students,” said Barry Wright, Interim Dean of the Goodman School of Business.

The Niagara CPA Ontario Association has two established awards that are presented to two different Goodman School of Business students throughout the year — one in the undergrad program and another in the graduate program.
