REMINDER: What’s open and closed during the holidays

Brock University buildings throughout the main campus, east campus and satellite locations will be closed and locked during the holidays starting at 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23 and will re-open for regular business hours on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Individuals who have proxy/swipe access to buildings (exterior doors) can enter the building if they are authorized to do so during this time. If you do enter, please contact Campus Security at Ext. 3200 to advise them of your location, and call again when you leave. And be sure to have Brock identification with you.

Persons without proxy/swipe access must enter through the front of Schmon Tower and register at the Welcome Desk. Campus Security officers will be stationed there from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. You will be asked for identification, the reason for your visit and length of your stay. Please contact Campus Security at Ext. 3200 when you leave. If there is no one at the Welcome Desk, contact Ext. 3200 or via the emergency phone at the podium pillar at the front of Schmon Tower. An officer will meet you there.

Personal safety is paramount. Please make sure someone knows where you are, and remember that lab activities cannot be conducted alone.

In case of fire or other serious emergencies, call 911, then phone Campus Security at Ext. 3200 to pinpoint the location and facilitate response. If there is a fire, pull a fire alarm and leave the building.
