Need refuge? Now you can use the Quiet Room

There’s good news for nursing mothers or members of the Brock community seeking a bit of sanctuary to deal with medical or stress-related issues.

A Quiet Room has been established in Welch Hall, providing a haven where Brock students, staff or faculty members can find quiet privacy.

Located in WH102A, its basic appointments consist of a sofa, table and chair set, but its most important feature is the frosted glass that ensures quiet privacy for those in need of it.

The Quiet Room is not intended for people with flu, colds, pink eye or any other conditions that are contagious from contact with contaminated surfaces.

The facility was created by the Student Accessibility & Wellness Centre and by Human Resources. Additional collaborators include the Office of Human Rights & Equity Services and the Department of Student Life & Community Experience, thanks to space made available by the Faculty of Education.

The Quiet Room can be used by individuals to use for up to 30 minutes at a time.
