The week’s worth of events will feature displays and activities across campus that talk to and get students talking about recognizing the signs of mental health problems and where to get help for themselves and friends.

The “Let’s talk about it…” event taking place on Wednesday, Oct. 9 will be a highlight of the week. It features four Brock students speaking out about their own personal experiences with mental health. The event takes place in Thistle 245, starts at 7 p.m. and will feature a question period from 8 to 8:30 p.m.

The week will also see the launch of a new post-secondary student helpline called good2talk.

Mental health awareness week programming is brought to you by Student Health Services, the Student Development Centre, Student Justice Centre, the Active Minds student club and the Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU), as well as the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Pathstone Mental Health “Mend the Mind” campaign.
