Brock’s main campus in St. Catharines will be closed to all students, staff, faculty and visitors from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, due to a phone system upgrade.
During the 12-hour upgrade, there will be no telephone service in any of the buildings on the St. Catharines campus. The University’s Hamilton campus will also be unable to four-digit direct dial the St. Catharines campus while the work is being completed.
There will be no access to any of the buildings at the St. Catharines campus, including card access, and all elevators will be shut down for the duration of the upgrade.
For safety and security reasons, everyone who is not required to support shutdown-related work and the resumption of normal University services is asked to refrain from coming to the main campus on Saturday, Dec. 29.
If you require access to any buildings at the University on Dec. 29, you must sign in at the Schmon Tower lobby welcome desk.
For emergency support during the planned upgrade on Dec. 29 only, please contact: 905-688-6300.
In the unlikely circumstance the University is unable to reopen by 9 p.m. on Saturday night, updates will be posted to the Brock website and social media properties until the situation returns to normal.
