Psychology student wins Library research award

Rae Gibson is the winner of this year’s Undergraduate Library Research Award, which celebrates success in conducting undergraduate research.

Gibson’s winning essay describes her approach to research and library tools such as PsycINFO and the Psychology Research Guide to prepare her paper “Errorless learning efficacy among older adults with memory impairment.”

The Library Research Award is a $500 prize. Karen Bordonaro, teaching and learning librarian and chair of the award committee, noted the strength of Gibson’s entry.

“Rae did an excellent job of describing how her use of library resources and services helped her develop her scientific research and writing skills,” she said. “In giving this award, the Library is proud to support student learning beyond the classroom by recognizing information seeking as an intellectual process worthy of being celebrated.”
