Students’ union participating in Blue Chair campaign

The Brock University Students’ Union is in the midst of a week-long awareness campaign to publicize the barriers students face in getting access to higher education.

The Blue Chair campaign, organized by the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA), means empty blue chairs are located around campus this week. The chairs represent empty seats students can’t fill because of various barriers that exist between them and post-secondary education.

One of the main displays is an eight-foot Blue Muskoka Chair in the Student-Alumni Centre.

“It is our hope that the eight-foot chair is really going to draw attention to the campaign,” said Daud Grewal, BUSU’s Vice-President, University Affairs.
