The new Brock Leaders Citizenship Society has made its first community contribution – a donation of more than $2,000 to the Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation.

The new society of students with noteworthy academic and leadership ability donated $2,876 to the local charity last week. The money was raised at a ball hockey tournament in St. Catharines on March 22.

It was the first group of students accepted to the society, which comes with a scholarship. It requires performing 40 hours of community service and maintaining an 80 per cent average.
