Poverty forum will bring researchers together

Brock faculty interested in poverty-related issues are invited to a Focus on Poverty forum on Friday.

Brock Research is hosting the session to share research topics and interests, identify potential community partners and eventually develop research projects and grant applications to meet the needs of Niagara.

The planning committee is part of a continuing effort to respond to local issues, said Vicky Guertin, research officer.

“This has been identified by the community as an issue,” she said.

Attendees are invited to make a five to 10-minute presentation on any current or future research projects or interests related to poverty in Niagara.

The forum will be Friday, Jan. 29 in Plaza 600F from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. A continental breakfast will be available at 8:30 a.m.

To register, or for more information, contact Guertin at 905-688-5550 x4004; vguertin@brocku.ca
