Travel Tuesday: University of Gothenburg

The Goodman Exchange Program offers a variety of countries and schools to choose from, but this week we will take a deeper look into our partner school, the University of Gothenburg School of Economics, Business & Law.

Why Gothenburg?

Currently, more than 60,000 students are studying in Göteborg – Sweden’s most popular University and the largest in the Nordic area. It is fantastically located on the west coast of the country with exciting cultural and entertainment scenes. Göteborg has developed from being solely an international trade and industry city to an intensive “City of Enterprise”.

Aside from the amazing travel experiences, there are scholarships available for students going to Gothenburg in the winter term! Scholarships are a wonderful opportunity and look great on a resume.

Why Sweden?

Additionally, there’s a good chance of finding an interesting job in the Gothenburg region after your studies. Several of Sweden’s major well-known companies have their origins and headquarters in the city including companies like Volvo and SKF. There are several organizations available to students that work within the community to aid students in finding a career after their studies. This is great for those students looking for a summer job and wishing to gain some international experience beyond the classroom.

Above all, Sweden is a wonderful and friendly country with much to do and see.  Visitthe Survival Guide – Living in Sweden for more information on what its really like to live in Gothenburg. There are still spots available this year so pass on this article to a friend and apply today!

Goodman International Exchange can open many doors for students in terms of a future career, further education, and personal experience. Don’t believe me? Visit the Goodman Exchange website and learn more about the Goodman International Exchange Program. It’s worth it!
