Job Summary
Instructors are responsible for the preparation of weekly lesson plans, tests, quizzes and assignments for their courses. They are also responsible for marking and evaluation of in-class work and record keeping.
Qualifications
The minimum qualification for a new non-credit instructor is a related undergraduate degree combined with TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum, or its equivalent; Master’s level qualifications in related areas (e.g. Applied Linguistics, English, Languages) are considered an asset; and post-secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL, and particularly overseas, is very desirable.
