Library launches new student research resource

thisyear2

The Brock Library has launched a series of videos aimed at helping students become stronger researchers.

Under the title “This Year Will Be Different,” the brief videos show students tips for using Google Scholar effectively and how to find books or journal articles using library resources.

While library research can be overwhelming, this project is designed to help students feel more confident when conducting research course assignments. Students who view the videos and send their feedback will be entered into a draw for a winter term Zone fitness membership.

The Library offers a wide range of research support to students at Brock.  Students can find in-person help from librarians and reference assistants at the help desk in the Matheson Learning Commons. They can also chat live with library staff through the “Live Help!” link on the Library home page. InfoSkills library workshops are offered in the Learning Commons from Jan. 26-29.  In addition, there are dedicated liaison librarians for each academic program who can be contacted for in-depth consultations.
