The Brock Leaders Citizenship Society has raised more than $5,000 for the Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation.

The society, which is comprised of students who have shown noteworthy academic or leadership ability, held a fundraising ball hockey tournament in St. Catharines earlier this year. The event is known as the Flora Broley Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament. The students raised $5,210 for the local charity.

Students in the society receive a scholarship and must perform 40 hours of community service while maintaining an 80 per cent average.
