Doug Hagar and the Niagara Community Observatory studied the use of social media in the 2010 Niagara municipal election.

The Niagara Community Observatory will release a policy brief this week regarding social media and the recent municipal election.

The brief follows a study of how candidates used social media in the 2010 Niagara municipal election. The analysis offers insights into the potential impact of social media tools for incumbents and challengers.

“The Use of Social Media in the 2010 Niagara Municipal Election” will be released on Wednesday, March 30 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Plaza 600F.
