Presenters invited to participate in Social Justice Forum

Organizers of the annual Niagara Social Justice Forum have put a call out for papers for the April 9, 2011 event.

Last year’s event attracted more than 150 from Brock and the greater Niagara community. Topics included homelessness, food sovereignty, Habitat for Humanity, “Native Woman — Endangered Species” and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and queer films.

Organizers invite individuals and groups with an activist orientation to submit a proposal to host a workshop, performance, exhibit or information table. Themes should have strong local relevance. Art, music, drama and non-traditional modes of interaction are encouraged.

For more information on the call for papers, download the PDF. For more on the 2011 Niagara Social Justice Forum, visit the forum website.

The deadline for proposals is Nov. 19.
