Brock's annual grape stomp is one of several events on this weekend as Brock Days wraps up.

Brock Days continues as Brock’s annual community and homecoming celebration enters its final week of events, culminating in weekend activities at the Niagara Wine Festival.

On Friday, Sept. 28, Brock will host its yearly grape stomp, barbecue and concert in Jubilee Court at the University. This is the messiest student tradition on campus and more than 300 students and alumni are expected to take part.

The stomp starts at 12:30 p.m. and everyone is invited to join the fun. Prizes will be awarded for best stompers, best team spirit, best dressed and best community spirit.

The event is free but canned food donations for Brock’s Community Care food drive are greatly appreciated.

To register your team, visit the Grape Stomp.

The University will also once again enter a float in the Niagara Wine Festival’s Grande Parade on Saturday, Sept. 29. Brock’s War of 1812-themed float will feature more than 100 student volunteers and Boomer the Badger.

There will also be wine and food seminars in the park hosted by Brock’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI), the Canadian Food and Wine Institute at Niagara College, and the Dairy Farmers of Canada.

They will take place in the Culinary Theatre in Montebello Park at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Seminars cost two tokens if you have a glass or three tokens with a glass provided. Registration is required and can be done in advance or upon arrival at the park.
