Charles Burton, associate professor of Political Science, was interviewed about espionage in Canada for the CBC Radio Canada International Mandarin Service broadcast on Dec. 2.

Brock’s annual Nuit Blanche event was profiled in the Niagara This Week article “A night at the university” on Dec. 2.

Zopito Marini, professor of Child and Youth Studies, was quoted in the article “Getting tough on bullies” in the Niagara Falls Review on Dec. 2.

Rebecca MacPherson, a PhD candidate at the Centre for Muscle Metabolism and Biophysics, was quoted in the Huffington Post article “Does Once-A-Week MedX Workout Really Work?: Test Drive” on Nov. 30.

Tom Arkell, director of community and ancillary services, was included in the St. Catharines Standard column “Feeling the heat in a Santa parade” on Nov. 27. In the article, reporter Don Fraser goes in a Santa Claus parade dressed as the Brock Badger.

Mariek Schmidt, assistant professor of Earth Sciences, was included in several articles related to her research with the Mars Rover. This includes “Mars-bound rock analyzer a ‘new step’ for Canada in space” on cbc.ca on Nov. 25 and “‘Curiosity’ set for ambitious mission to Mars, the Red Planet” in the Globe and Mail on Nov. 24.

Alun Hughes, professor of Geography, was quoted in the St. Catharines Standard article “Plenty of truth to the Laura Secord story, says prof” on Nov. 20.

Antonia Mantonakis, associate professor of marketing, was quoted in the article “Musical mixology: Drink website matches tunes to tastebuds” in the Vancouver Sun on Nov. 19. The article appeared in other newspapers, including the Nanaimo Daily News and the Victoria Times-Colonist.

Kevin Gosine, assistant professor of Child and Youth Studies, was quoted in the article “Africentric high school is approved, but it still needs a home” in the Globe and Mail on Nov. 17.

Larry Savage, associate professor of Political Science and Labour Studies, was quoted in the article “Hepburn: Why Ontario Tories lust after Flaherty” in the Toronto Star on Nov. 16.

James Mandigo, associate professor of Kinesiology and co-director of the Centre for Healthy Development, published the opinion piece “New curriculum would teach respect” in the Hamilton Spectator on Nov. 16.
