Our mandate is to develop and support industry-academia partnerships.
With major investments by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) and Brock University, the VPMI is positioned to support the growing bioproducts, bioscience, bioagriculture and chemical manufacturing sectors in southern Ontario that require access to scientific expertise and training to scale up and commercialize products, technologies and services.
As a specialized centre for advanced analytical solutions coupled with fabrication, prototyping and training, the VPMI ensure seamless technology adoption by companies in a cost effective and timely manner.
Our three main pillars include:
- Applied research and innovation
- Testing, prototyping, and early-stage manufacturing
- Technology transfer and training for technology adaptation into production practices, processes and operations
