By the end of section one, students should
have a question that is suitable for
research over the course of the semester and there should be evidence
of
research. Students should begin by briefly researching all their topics.
Through
the researching process, the topics that the students originally chose
may be
modified to suit the information they are able to retrieve. It is
important that the
students record where there information was found and what limitations
it has
because of how it was collected. It is also important to remember
not to be too
focussed on one idea too soon because your ideas will change as your
research progresses.
