Catherine Parayre, Director for the Centre for Studies in Arts and Culture, led Grade 10 and 11 students through a zine-making workshop at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts on Friday, Feb. 22. High school students from across the Niagara region and Mississauga were given a brief presentation on how visual arts, music and performance interact, before putting their creative writing, drawing and editing skills to the test during the hands-on workshop. Some of the students also officially became 'exhibiting artists' as a result of their efforts, as a selection of the zines will now be displayed in the MIWSFPA’s Learning Commons and at Mahtay Café until Tuesday, March 12.
