After five years of rain, snow, ice and blazing sun, Maj.-Gen. Sir Isaac Brock was getting spruced up by the experts this week. Sculptor Brett Davis, from Age of Bronze in Newmarket, Ont., tends to The General from a hydraulic hoist while Toronto conservator Sue Maltby, of Maltby & Associates, works at ground level. A gift to the University from former Board of Trustees Chair David Howes, the bronze sculpture by Canadian artist Danek Mozdzenski has been a landmark since it arrived on campus in 2015, following a long ride across the continent from a foundry in Oregon.
