Pearl Gloves continues support of Brock’s accessible exercise program

For the fourth consecutive year, Pearl Gloves has supported the Brock-Niagara Centre for Health and Well-Being’s Power Cord program. This year’s donation of $67,067 raises the total amount of contributions from the charity to almost $174,000 in support of the fight against multiple sclerosis (MS) in Niagara. Brock’s Power Cord is a wheelchair accessible exercise program for members experiencing MS, spinal cord injury and lower limb amputations. Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Dean Peter Tiidus, Kinesiology Professor and Power Cord founder David Ditor, along with member Rowena Bella-Christman and Jasmine Reese, attended the special cheque presentation ceremony Wednesday, Dec. 11 with the Pearl Gloves organizing committee, fighters and recipients from the Hotel Dieu Shaver and MS Society - Niagara Peninsula Chapter of Hope.
